A new social enterprise, aimed at providing the best mobile telecommunications solutions for charities while ploughing potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds back into the third sector, has been launched in Dundee.
The first dedicated mobile social enterprise in Scotland, Good Call, based at Water’s Edge, aims to remove the mobile communications barriers facing charities, social enterprises and community groups, potentially saving them hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process.

A world-renowned TED speaker, whose talk has gathered over three million views, will return to Dundee next month to inspire local business people to unlock the potential of their communities.
Dr Ernesto Sirolli, a global practitioner of economic development and community advocate, will give a keynote speech at ‘The Enterprise Conversation’ at Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa on Monday 10 June 2019. The event is organised and hosted by Cola 5by20 Dundee, a community empowerment model inspired by Dr Sirolli’s teachings.

Perth housebuilders Stephen have won a national housebuilding award for their new development in the Highlands of Scotland.
The family firm was presented with the ‘Private Development of the Year’ (medium) award at the Homes for Scotland Awards 2019 for its development at Tornagrain, half way between Nairn and Inverness.
The joint award, shared with housebuilders ZeroC, was presented at the HFS Annual Lunch in Edinburgh on Friday 17 May 2019.

Four young RAF cadets have today unveiled a quartet of aircraft commemorating one of the most poignant tales of wartime Britain.
The Aquila aircraft, carrying the names of three brothers who died in flying action, two during the Second World War, were unveiled at Tayside Aviation in Dundee which has held the exclusive contract for RAF Flying Scholarships for over 20 years. This MoD contract provides training to around 200 cadets each year, with cadets coming from all over the UK and Channel Islands.
All four aircraft will be used to teach RAF cadets to fly, many of whom will go on to become pilots or Officers in the RAF or Royal Navy.

As they celebrated the key milestone, Rachel Foyle and Kerrin Dutton were congratulated by Tayside Aviation Managing Director James Watt.
