Dundee Designer Reaches New Heights Ahead of V&A Showcase
14 July 2026
More of an opportunity than a challenge, Tea Green Events celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024.
To mark this milestone, owner Joanne McFadyen doubled the number of independent makers’ markets she brings to some of Scotland’s most prestigious cultural spaces each year, including V&A Dundee, National Galleries of Scotland, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Bowhouse in Fife, and Aberdeen Art Gallery.
And that’s when our working relationship began! Rightly so, Joanne was eager to mark the occasion by attracting more visitors and, most importantly, showcasing the incredible artists and designers whose talent makes her markets such a success.
To this day, I continue to promote Joanne’s markets, which are held in some of the most beautiful cultural spaces in Scotland, raising the profile of some of the most talented designers and makers in the process.
The ChallengeInitially tasked with promoting the 10th anniversary milestone and celebrating the immense creative talent on show at these events, I went on to create an ambitious, Scotland-wide comms plan for Tea Green Events.
Working strategically through the different venues, I create a raft of bespoke, regional stories to celebrate the individual events, tapping into makers from different localities and highlighting the impact Tea Green Events make on the venues themselves.
Now, with 2026 in full swing, I’m actively working on the summer markets. Let the creativity commence!
The SolutionDuring the decade celebration alone, I secured over 20 pieces of publicity for Tea Green Events, from radio and TV to print, online and community magazines, driving footfall, building the Tea Green Brand and driving new designers and artists to get involved.
Makers and designers love being part of the Tea Green community and I love sharing their stories!
The Impact
“Bringing Claire on board was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She has not only secured incredible coverage – far beyond what I’d hoped for – but also taken a huge weight off my shoulders. Her expertise has allowed me to focus on growing my business, knowing PR is in the best hands.
Thanks to Claire, being featured in The Herald, STV, The Scotsman, and other publications has strengthened Tea Green’s reputation and helped attract new visitors to our events. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, truly invested in my message, and a valued part of my team. I can’t recommend Claire highly enough!”
