Dundee Children Tuck into a Tasty Summer
Published on 23 June 2017
Fun, foodie activities have taken place at a Dundee nursery, as part of its annual enrolment week (Monday 19 – Friday 23 June 2017).
With the focus on ‘A Tasty Summer’, this week’s programme at The Teddy Bear Club Nursery has revolved around food and healthy eating.
So far, children have been making and enjoying melon boats and banana boats, while sampling some more exotic fruits such as pomegranates, star fruit, passion fruit, quince and figs.
Others burnt off some fruity energy with a range of fun, energetic activities including soft play, mini obstacle courses and dancing. Meanwhile, those who are graduating from nursery next week sported some strange looks for ‘crazy hair day’, dressed in bright neon colours while enjoying in team sports!
The rest of the week will see some of children’s bear friends spending a day at nursery, with Paddington sharing out some of his marmalade sandwiches, Goldilocks and the Three Bears porridge tastings and a teddy bear picnic. The enrolment week theme coincides with the launch of the nursery’s new summer menu.
