A Dundee orthodontic practice, which prides itself on transforming smiles, has been hailed the Best Specialist Practice in Scotland for the third year running.
Beam Specialist Orthodontic Practice won the Dentistry Scotland Award at a glittering ceremony at Gleneagles Hotel on the evening of Friday 15 November 2013.
Beam was also shortlisted in two other categories, ‘Best Dental Team’ and ‘Practice of the Year – North’.
The awards recognise outstanding achievements and excellence within the country’s dental and orthodontist practices.
The accolade adds to Beam’s impressive awards portfolio, having won the coveted ‘Best Specialist Practice’ award in both 2011 and 2012, as well as ‘Practice of the Year – East’ in 2012. Beam was also voted ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Dental Team’ category in both 2011 and 2012.
The contemporary practice, which opened in 2007, is owned by specialist orthodontist Ruaridh McKelvey and his wife, qualified dentist Jane Adams and welcomes patients from throughout Dundee and Angus, Perthshire, Fife, Aberdeenshire and Central Scotland.
Mr McKelvey said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have yet again won this prestigious and national award which reinforces our reputation for providing the very best patient care. We will by no means be resting on our laurels, however, and will continue to strive to be the best orthodontic practice in Scotland, while also providing a fantastic and tailored one-to-one service to each and every one of our clients.”
Beam is located within Dundee’s ‘cultural quarter’, in close proximity to the universities, Dundee Repertory Theatre and Dundee Contemporary Arts. The clinic prides itself on perfecting smiles for people of all ages, with its highly-qualified specialist orthodontists trained three years beyond dental school. Orthodontics is the specialised technique used to straighten teeth which are squint, gappy or do not fit together properly.
