Menopause Café

Breaking the Silence Around Menopause

A free, informal event aimed at normalising discussion around menopause will take place in Perth this month.

The Menopause Café will take place at Perth and Kinross Council, 2 High Street between 10am and 11.30am on Friday 17 October 2025, on the eve of World Menopause Day.

Rachel Weiss, founder of the Menopause Café charity, organised the first café in Perth in 2017. Since then, the charity has supported more than 1,800 Menopause Cafés worldwide—from the UK and USA to Chile, Zambia, Bahrain, and Portugal—empowering over 18,000 participants to start important conversations.

Rachel said, “Like all Menopause Cafes, the Perth and Kinross Council Menopause Café is open to anyone, regardless of gender or age, to come together to have a chat, grab a drink, laugh, cry and talk about the menopause.  The menopause can be an isolating and stressful time for women, their families, friends and colleagues. Having an opportunity to meet others and openly talk can make the transition through this phase easier.”

A Menopause Café will also be held at Renu Health and Wellness, 41 North Lindsay Street, Dundee from 10am until midday on Saturday 18 October 2025.
