Spooktacular Science!
If you are looking to celebrate Halloween in spooktacular style, look no further than Dundee Science Centre.
On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October 2022, track down ghosts, vampires and other monsters on the loose around the Science Centre, with potion-making and trick-or-treating thrown in for good measure.
Visitors can also help fix Frankenstein’s monster with a hair-raising Van de Graaf generator, capture a ghost in a dry ice Boo bubble and watch vampires turn water into ‘blood’.
And, for younger visitors, a spooky early year’s story time will take place in the Midnight Garden, complete with clacking bones and a cauldron. There is also the chance to help out some Halloween-themed bears in the Teddy Bear’s Hospital and get stuck into a range of crafting activities from mask-making to DIY trick-or-treat bags.
Youngsters and their friends and families can also get into the spirit of things by entering the (optional) costume competition, with prizes for the ghostliest get-up!
Tickets are £10 per child and £4.50 for adults, with three sessions to choose from each day – 9:00am-11:30am, 12:00-2:30pm or 3:00pm-5:30pm.
Some of the scarier members of Dundee Science Centre’s team will also be venturing out to Gather, Overgate, Dundee from 12 to 3pm on Saturday 29th, showcasing a range of Halloween science experiments!
